Jennifer Brown      



Jennifer has been involved in kickboxing since the age of 14, with  a wealth of experience.  Jennifer is a CASK certified coach and CASK Elite Level Instructor.

She had begun kickboxing and boxing as way to get into shape but found that this was only one of the benefits.  She also gained a new found sense of self confidence and love for all things fitness.

Jennifer is also a  Registered Nurse, who finds that  continuing to be involved in kickboxing is a great stress reliever after a hard day’s work.

Jennifer has been coaching amateur kickboxing athletes  to compete in provincial, national and international venues for many years.  

Jennifer strives to stay current in skills and techniques by  attending  seminars and conferences as well as training in the Greater Toronto Area.

She loves helping people get in shape and takes great satisfaction in seeing members improve skills, fitness and gain confidence.

Robert Dixon

Robert began studying combative arts in the early 2000s after much coaxing by his wife Jennifer.  He had always been active in sports and fitness throughout his life but had never tried any martial arts.  After one class he was hooked, and has never looked back! 

Rob is a CASK certified coach and CASK Elite Level Instructor.

He became interested early on in the competitive side of kickboxing; fighting in a variety of venues including North American and International venues.  He has won provincial and national titles in kickboxing as well as being a 2016 WAKO Pan American Team Canada qualifier.

Robert is also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, achieving a purple belt from Professor Marco Costa of Body of Four BJJ. 

Robert remains active in the competitive arenas of both Kickboxing and Brazillian Jiu jitsu.


Rob  is also a certified personal trainer. 

He loves working with all clients, from the beginner to the elite. His passion is helping others achieve their personal goals.  For Rob, health & fitness is not just an occupation but a lifestyle; he practices what he preaches!

Jennifer Upton


Jennifer has been involved in the martial arts since the age of 9. 

Starting out in Karate where she achieved her black belt at age 16.  She then continued onto Aiki-jujitsu, Kickboxing and Muay Thai boxing.   

She is a CASK certified coach and has competed at the amateur level in Kickboxing.  Jennifer has been with the Ares family since 2013 and has been a great addition to the instructor team. 

She brings a competent, positive attitude to all the classes she instructs with a love of teaching and motivating others to be the best they can be!

Robert Kochut 


Rob has been a long time member of Ares. He has been involved in the martial arts for the last 9 years.

He began with Muay Thai kickboxing but quickly realized that his passion was for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has not looked back! 

He received his purple belt from Professor Marco Costa BO4 and is very active in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitive circuit.

Rob is always striving to improve and loves helping others with their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey. 

Rob’s infectious laugh and positive attitude are always present in his class instruction.
